Cooperative Education
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences participates in the Cooperative Education Program. Employment opportunities can be arranged in geologic exploration, geologic engineering, meteorological consulting, and other areas.
To apply for admission to the program, a student files a formal application with the department and arranges for an interview with the department cooperative education coordinator. To be eligible for the program, a student must:
Complete two years of academic coursework before the first employment period;
Have an overall cumulative grade index of at least 2.30 on a 4.0 scale; and
Have a serious intention to complete the program.
