The Michalski lab continues to push the analytical limits of Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry by developing new preparation techniques and IRMS interfaces. Our current interests includes:
1) Developing an automated IR laser thermal decomposition interface for analysis of δ18O, δ17O,δ15N, and δ34S in NO3- and SO42-
2) Development of bacterial-gold reduction method for nanomolar analysis of δ18O, δ17O,δ15N in nitrates.
3) Development of a new method for δ18O, δ17O in tropospheric ozone
4) Solid phase extraction techniques for organic clean up of samples
5) Automated HPLC sample separation and cation conversion
6) Multiple isotopologue fragment analysis
