Lacustrine records of continental water cycle change during PETM global warming

The record of early Cenozoic climate change documents several abrupt, transient episodes of global warming associated with increased levels of atmospheric greenhouse gases. We are studying the impact of the best-documented of these events, the Paleocene-Eocene thermal maximum, on continental systems in order to better understand the potential implications of future carbon-induced warming.
