We are generating new multi-substrate isotope records from sediment cores taken in the Great Salt Lake, Utah, to reconstruct changes in the water balance of the lake associated with Holocene climate change. These data will provide an improved record of the frequency and intensity of regional drought during times of cooler and warmer climate.
