weather.eas.purdue.edu outage Friday morning

The weather data ingest server weather.eas.purdue.edu will be unavailable beginning at 10 AM on Friday, August 28 to install new disk drives. The outage is expected to last less than two hours. During this time all data in /project/weather will be unavailable. GEMPAK and WXP executables will remain available.

Update - August 28, 2009

The disk install on weather.eas.purdue.edu has taken considerably longer than anticipated. At this point, weather.eas.purdue.edu is expected to return to service by early afternoon on Saturday.
