Linux Career Account problems
As of a few moments ago, it appears that EAS Linux machines cannot connect to one of two Purdue Career Account home directory servers (champion.ics.purdue.edu). We have notified ITaP and they are investigating the problem. We do not currently have an estimated time for the restoration of service.
During the outage, people who are on lookout.ics.purdue.edu should be unaffected. People on champion.ics.purdue.edu will not be able to log in graphically, but may log in via SSH or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 to get to a text login session.
More information will be posted to the EAS Technology Support website and sent via e-mail as it becomes available.
There appear to be outages with other ITaP-provided services (including the Purdue website), it is unknown if the issues are related.
It appears the Career Account issues have been resolved. Please contact eas-itap@purdue.edu if you continue to encounter problems.
