Automount problems on EAS Linux machines

Many of the Linux machines in EAS are experiencing problems with automounted directories today. This includes /archive, /class, /eas, /home, and /project. The cause of this problem is currently unknown, but is under investigation. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this problem. At this time, there is no need to report any details on this issue to eas-itap@purdue.edu. Further updates will be sent via e-mail and posted here as they become available.

As of approximately 5:30 PM, automount directories are available again. The issue appears to be a recent release of the autofs package. A rolled back package has been installed on all machines and appears to be working as expected. Please report any problems to eas-itap@purdue.edu.
