Volunteers needed for RCAC Installation Day 2008

ITaP has been working with over 20 faculty members to build a new High Performance Computing Cluster at Purdue. The new cluster, Steele, is named after John Steele who was instrumental in providing high performance computing for research at Purdue. When complete, Steele will be the largest HPC cluster in the Big 10. ITaP plans to install a large portion of this cluster in the Math Data Center on May 5th. Everyone is invited to participate in helping install the cluster on May 5th. No experience is needed, there are jobs available for a wide variety of skill sets. Volunteers can register at http://www.rcac.purdue.edu/id5. Click on the “Register for Installation Day 2008” link to sign up.

Lunch will be provided for all the volunteers. If you prefer a vegetarian option or have any special dietary requirements, please contact Donna Cumberland (donnac@purdue.edu).
