Technology Update

Software updates on Linux

On Wednesday, March 12, several software packages are scheduled to be updated on EAS Linux computers:

• netCDF will be updated from version 3.6.1 to version 3.6.2. A test build is available in /project/devo/b/netcdf-3.6.2 and for the PGI compilation /project/devo/b/netcdf-3.6.2-pgi
• GEMPAK will be updated from version 5.9.1 to version 5.11.1. A test build is available in /project/devo/b/GEMPAK5.11.1
• NCL/NCARG will be updated from version 4.3.1 to version 5.0.0. A test build is availalbe in /project/devo/b/ncl-5.0.0 (for 32-bit machines) and /project/devo/b/ncl-5.0.0-x64 (for 64-bit machines: baja2, helicity, tornado, and wened)
• IDV will be updated from version 2.0 to version 2.4. A test build is available in /project/devo/b/idv-2.4
