National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Don't be scared, October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. ITaP's Networks and Security group will be hosting discussions on how to use the internet safely, and what eh future of cybersecurity holds. The first event is Wednesday, October 10 from 9 to 11 A.M. In Fowler Hall (located in Stewart Center). The topic will be "Internet Riding Safely." Scott Ksander, CISO, and Pablo Malevenda, Associate Dean of Students, will discuss safe uses of the internet, including social networking sites such as Facebook. Other topics this month are "Cybercrime and Copyright Infringement" (Oct 17), "Future Destinations: Trends in Technology" (Oct 24), and "Destination Unknown" (Oct 31).
