Linux software updates

The NCL software package is available for testing in /project/devo/b/ncl-4.3.1 (ncl-4.3.1-x64 for dhyana, baja2, helicity, and tornado). It has already been tested by the user who requested the upgrade. If no problems are discovered, it will be installed on EAS Linux machines the morning of Thursday, August 30.

The statistical package R has been installed in /opt/R on EAS Linux machines.

There was an error with the installation of Matlab on 64-bit machines. This has been corrected.
